1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Renoweb, operated by WebEngineers Software India LLP ("Renoweb", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit reno-web.com, message us on WhatsApp, or use our services. It's written for customers and website visitors in India, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian law.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

• Contact details you give us: your name, phone number (usually your WhatsApp number), and business name, when you message us or fill in an enquiry on a partner referral page.
• Domain registrant details: if we register a domain for you, your name, phone number and address, used as the domain's registrant contact.
• Project details: your existing website address, content, images, and anything else you share with us to scope and deliver your website, hosting, domain, email or logo work. We don't ask for or need your website, hosting or domain account passwords — see "Why We Don't Need Your Passwords" below.
• Communications: the messages you send us on WhatsApp, and any notes our team keeps about your enquiry or project.

We do not use cookies or tracking scripts on reno-web.com today, beyond what's described in "Cookies and Tracking" below.

3. How We Collect It

Directly from you — when you message us on WhatsApp, contact us through an Authorized Business Partner's referral page, or communicate with us during a project.

Our partner referral pages format your enquiry into a WhatsApp message that only you choose to send — we only receive it once you send it, directly to the relevant Renoweb or partner WhatsApp number. Nothing is collected from that page unless you send the message yourself.

Once we receive your enquiry, our team may record the relevant details (like your name, phone number and requirement) in our own internal system, so we can follow up with you and keep track of your project.

4. Why We Use Your Data

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss your requirement.
• To confirm eligibility, scope and pricing, and to agree and deliver your project.
• To provide ongoing support you've asked for — hosting, domain, DNS, email, content changes, logo work.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations (for example, invoicing and GST records).
• To improve how we work — for example, understanding common requirements or issues our customers raise.

We rely on your consent (by choosing to contact us) and on the contract formed once we agree a project with you as the basis for using your data this way.

5. Why We Don't Need Your Passwords

We don't ask for or need your website, hosting, CMS or domain account passwords — we build and host your website on our own infrastructure.

If you book a domain through us, we register it via Cloudflare using your name, phone number and address as the registrant contact, so the domain is registered in your name. We keep our own email on the registration for account management. Cloudflare, our registrar, generally applies WHOIS privacy protection, so these details usually aren't publicly visible (a small number of domain extensions don't allow this). We also give you your own access to that domain's DNS records on Cloudflare, so you can view and manage them yourself.

We don't manage or host business email accounts. Where your email needs DNS records — for a service like Google Workspace or Zoho that you set up and own — we only add or advise on those records.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

• Freelance professionals we engage to help deliver your project, who are required to keep your information confidential.
• Service providers we rely on to run our business — such as Cloudflare (hosting/CDN, and as our domain registrar when we book a domain for you) and WhatsApp/Meta (messaging).
• Authorities, if required by law — for example, tax authorities, or in response to a valid legal request.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

7. AI Tools

We may use AI-assisted tools as part of our own workflow when building or reviewing websites. We do not use your project data to train third-party AI models.

8. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your data, including relying on established infrastructure providers like Cloudflare for our own website. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your enquiry and project details only for as long as we're actively working with you, and delete them once your project is complete or you ask us to. The one exception is invoice and payment records, which we keep for around 6 years — this is standard Indian tax and accounting practice, not something we can shorten on request, and it also protects both of us if a question about a past project ever comes up.

10. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act and applicable Indian law, you can ask us to:

• give you access to the personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate data;
• erase your data, subject to the invoice/payment retention described above; and
• withdraw your consent to further use of your data, or raise a complaint about how we've handled it.

To exercise any of these, message us on WhatsApp or email us at care@reno-web.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may raise a complaint with India's Data Protection Board (once operational) or the relevant authority under Indian law.

11. Children's Data

Our services are intended for business owners and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Cookies and Tracking

reno-web.com does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare, which we use to host and secure this website, may set limited, strictly necessary cookies for security and performance — these don't track you for advertising purposes.

Once you message us on WhatsApp, your conversation is subject to WhatsApp's and Meta's own privacy policy, which we don't control.

If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in future, we'll update this section and, where required, ask for your consent first.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version.
